Metal Shark Delivers US Navy Force Protection Boats to Bahrain

Jeanerette, LA – February 6, 2010:  Metal Shark recently delivered seven 27′ US Navy Force Protection Boats to naval forces in Bahrain.  These Force Protection – Small (FP-S) boats are based off Metal Shark’s 27 Defiant pilothouse model. The trailerable fleet is designed to replace aging patrol craft. Each craft is equipped with a generator and two oversize air conditioning systems to combat the extreme climate. A secure Harris radio system is integrated with a wireless crew communications package. The full size folding cabin allow transport via C130.
